New weight class rankings on Wednesday/Live chat on Thursday

If you haven’t looked out your window yet, it’s quite the winter wonderland out there on this day after the Super Bowl. While the big game didn’t live up to the hype, we’re hoping that the LoHud Wrestling Blog will this week, because we’ve got big plans.

It seems pretty obvious that any dual meets that were scheduled for today have been snowed out, with the vast majority of the schools in the area closing down. The entire week is pretty light in terms of dual meets, and that’s because the postseason begins on Friday. The Division 2 sectional tournament will be held at Beacon HS on Friday and Saturday, while the Division 1 sectional qualifiers (or, divisionals) will be held at four different locations on Saturday.

With so much to look forward to this weekend, I’m going to get you prepped with new weight class rankings and a live chat. I’m putting the finishing touches on the rankings in the next few days, and my plan is to post them on Wednesday. After you’ve had to some time to digest the new rankings, my plan is to host another live LoHud Wrestling Chat on Thursday night at 7:30, which will be a great time to take all of your questions. I’ll also have D2 predictions coming this weekend; probably on Thursday afternoon before the chat.

So, enjoy your downtime during this storm, because the real storm is just around the corner…

NOTE TO COACHES: I encourage you all to make sure that each of your wrestlers have updated stats on nwcaonline.com, because that’s what I’ll be referring to for the rankings.
