Thursday’s schedule

We have a pretty full schedule today, and I’ll be heading out to John Jay to see the Indians host Carmel. Both teams seem to have some young talent coming up, so I’m going to take a closer look in what should be a pretty tightly contested dual. Follow me on Twitter @vzmercogliano for updates, but keep in mind, the service at John Jay is rarely cooperative.

I also wanted note a special memorial event that is going on at Pearl River tonight. The Pirates’ senior class has dedicated their dual against Nanuet in memory of Tommy Scognamiglio, who would have been a senior this year at PRHS. They’ve named the event “Battle for the Belt” with all proceeds going to charities in Scognamiglio’s name. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students (grades six and under are free).

Here is Thursday’s schedule, with my picks in bold:

Byram Hills at Westlake, 4:30 p.m.
Ossining at Croton-Harmon, 4:30 p.m.
