Season preview: League alignments for 2013-14



Here are the league alignments for the 2013-14 season. Which do you think is the strongest league in Section 1?

League I-A: Arlington, Beacon, Brewster, John Jay-EF, Ketcham
League I-B: Carmel, John Jay, Mahopac, Somers, Yorktown
League I-C: Hen Hud, Lakeland/Panas, Lourdes, Pawling, Putnam Valley
League II-A: Ardsley, Mamaroneck, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, White Plains, Yonkers
League II-B: Dobbs Ferry, Eastchester, Edgemont, Hastings, Irvington, Sleepy Hollow, Woodlands
League III-A: Byram Hills, Croton-Harmon, Ossining, Pleasantville, Westlake
League III-B: Rye, Harrison, Fox Lane, Port Chester, Horace Greeley
League IV-A: Nanuet, Nyack, Pearl River, Tappan Zee
League IV-B: Clarkstown North, Clarkstown South, East Ramapo, North Rockland, Suffern

  1. It’s a toss up between 1-a and 4-b.

    No. Rock vs Brewster
    C. South vs Arlington
    Suffern vs Jjef
    C.north vs rck
    E. Ramapo vs beacon

    I think 1a wins 3 or 4 out of 5, rockland is better than any team, but Brewster, Arlington, jay could be the next 3 best dual teams in the section.

    League 1-b would be one of the best in the last decade, but are a little down now.
