Pinning Down Autism Duals
For the past three years, Pinning Down Autism has been hosting a dual meet with the top wrestlers in New York against the top wrestlers in New Jersey. This year was a two day event with all-star teams from Delaware, New England, Florida, New York, and New Jersey. Three ISW wrestlers participated in the event this year. Kevin Jack from Danbury HS took first at New-Englands this year at 120 lbs and was chosen to wrestle on the All-New England team. Sam Melikian from Fordham Prep HS took third at the New York State Championships at 132 lbs and was chosen for the NY team. Joe Mastro took third at the New York State Championships at 152 lbs and was also chosen for the NY team.
Melikian pinned Jordan Hall from Michigan, Jared Clarke from Delaware, and Miguel Calixto from New England. Melikian lost 7-3 to Jason Estevez, who took third place at New Jersey States.
Mastro teched JJ Currie from Delaware.
Jack beat Travis Passaro from NY 4-2, as well as his opponents from Delaware, New Jersey, and Florida.
