Springfield vs. WPI: Derrick Longo (Ardsley HS) finished off the regular season by beating Justin Marsh of WPI 12-2 at 165 lbs. Longo wrestles for Springfield.
NC State vs. Duke: Sam Speno (Fox Lane HS) of NC State lost 5-0 to 27th-ranked Brandon Gambucci of Duke at 133 lbs.
Centennial Conference Championships: Danny Ventura (Fox Lane HS) of Ursinus went 1-2 at 133 lbs and didn’t place.
Brown vs. Columbia: In a battle of two Iowa Style wrestles Billy Watterson (John Jay-Cross River HS) of Brown was the winner an 8-7 match between him and Penn Gottfried (Ardsley HS) of Columbia at 125 lbs.
Columbia vs. Harvard: Penn Gottfried lost 14-8 against Jeffery Ott of Harvard at 125 lbs.
UPenn vs. Princeton/UPenn vs. Drexel: Andrew Lenzi (Fordham Prep) of UPenn was leading the whole match against Zach Bintliff of Princeton but in the final seconds was taken down to his back to lose 6-4 at 149 lbs. Lenzi came back in the next match to dominate Josh Yurasits of Drexel 11-0.
Rider vs. Boston University: James Brundage (Ossining HS) of Rider lost a close 4-3 match against Kyle Czarnecki of BU at 174 lbs.
National Collegiate Open: Mike Parise (Brewster HS) of Maryland failed to place at 125 lbs.
Brown vs. Sacred Heart: Billy Watterson pinned Joe Harris of Sacred Heart at 125 lbs.
Northwestern vs. Indiana: Jacob Berkowitz (Scarsdale HS) true freshman for Northwestern lost 3-0 against Luke Sheridan of Indiana at 184 lbs.
Illinois vs. Oklahoma State: Steven Rodrigues (Fox Lane HS) of Illinois lost 4-2 to Julian Feikert of the No. 1 ranked team Oklahoma State at 141 lbs.

All wrestlers who are not in Section 1 will be subject to an on-site weigh-in.
Spot Check for Section I Wrestlers.

Try to look for a link to TimeWarner in Albany. Unlike down here they did full live TV coverage of the Semis and Finals complete w pre and post event coverage. Very Very well done. Went to states and could have done just as well staying in the hotel and watching from there.
