Although Clarkstown North lost by a wide margin to Nanuet on Thursday, one member of the Rams continued to take care of business in what is turning out to be a tremendous season. Senior Colby Kash remains undefeated after pinning Jon Spiegel in the second period of their 145-pound bout, as he continues to make strides towards his ultimate goal of becoming a section champ.
Since the dual meet wasn’t particularly close and I’ve written plenty on Nanuet so far this season, I decided to focus my story on Kash. He has been the standout for North, and looks poised to make a run to Albany this season. His biggest win came against North Rockland’s Matt Caputo during the Section 1 duals, who will probably be his biggest competition for a section title. Coach Tony Mellino spoke to me about Kash’s unique focus and organization, which he believes has directly led to his success. Read the story in its entirety for a glimpse into how Kash has developed into one of the top wrestlers in Section 1.
I took a few other videos while I was at Clarkstown North yesterday:
• Nanuet’s Eric Boyle defeated Louis DeLucia by decision, 10-4, in their 120-pound bout.
• Nanuet’s Joe Dillon defeated Mike Seligson by decision, 4-2, in their 126-pound bout.

WOW the Nanuet kids destroy North and the story is about Colby Kash, who does he know. The story should have been about how hard the Nanuet kids worked in the off season, and how Joe Dillon bumbed up to wrestle the second best from north and beat him. Or how Colby didn’t make 140 so he could avoid the Matt Dillon. #nanuethaters
Breit and Calvano are still undefeated for the not even a mention
Has Kash made 140 yet?
Did you, Nanuet fans, read the article? You need to spend more time in the classroom then on the mats!
Enjoy your time at the top nanuet fans, you guys have 1 month of greatness left then its all downhill. You are 1 kid away from going to large school next year, and most of your studs are graduating. Read what Vince said he’s done so many articles on nanuet this year he was looking for a different story.
Seriously, watch who you talk about ducking ?? Who bumped up?? I mean if a guy was at 138 for sectionals last year we are supposed to think he is bumping up to 138 now ? Why not bump up to Cash ?? We know he isnt going 138 at sectionals with Drew there so why go there now??
Kash dominated Dillon last year, not talking score, talking video, Vince posted it last year. Kash looks even better this year, Dillon lost to Hopkins this year but beat him last year, so I wouldn’t say he is looking better last year. I strongly doubt Kash who already took out Caputo this year is ducking anyone
Not just making stuff up, gotta guy making 126, but then you see Longo, kyrekedes, occhipinti at 126, so you go 132, then guys move to 132, so you go up to 138 and pick up a lucky wildcard
Oh and just realized you were saying Joe Dillon bumped up, but that doesn’t change the Kash noting coming down to Matt Dillon line
Did Murray wrestle at Scarsdale tourney? Any results from Scarsdale?
