There are some good ones on tap today, most notably Section 1 D1 duals champ North Rockland visiting third-place finisher Fox Lane. The Foxes are probably the best dual meet team from Section 1 that the Red Raiders have yet to see, and there will be some very interesting matches in the 106-160 range. Ultimately, I think North Rockland will maintain its unbeaten record, but this has the potential to be a close one. Another intriguing dual to keep an eye on is Mahopac at Edgemont. Forfeits in the upper weights will probably prevent the Panthers from coming out on top, but they should keep it close with their strength from 99-152. Greeley-Harrison, Yorktown-Ketcham and Sleepy-New Ro also should be tight with some great individual matchups.
Here is the full schedule for Thursday, with my picks in bold:
New Rochelle at Sleepy Hollow, 4:15 p.m.
Dobbs Ferry vs. Eastchester at Waverly Elementary School, 4:15 p.m.
Suffern at Nanuet, 4:30 p.m.
Clarkstown North at Nyack, 4:30 p.m.
Clarkstown South at Pearl River, 4:30 p.m.
East Ramapo at Tappan Zee, 4:30 p.m.
Horace Greeley at Harrison, 4:30 p.m.
Somers at John Jay-EF, 4:30 p.m.

Mahopac at Edgemont, 4:30 p.m.

Great week for TZs Hartnett…beat Lofaro2-0, Okeke 5-0 and pinned Dorsanville!!! Breit’s up next at 220.
I forgot , he also pinned Acevedo. He only lost by 1 point to Edmond, last years section 9 195 pound champ from Kingston!
Good prediction of Croton over Pawling. Croton loses by 8 last time and wins by I believe 9 this time despite being without their 220 who lost a tight match to Acevedo first time around. Coach Occhipinti also picked up the 200th win as coach at Croton. These are the fun dual meets with all the college boys back in town, maybe it made the difference for Croton having the old seniors back watching them.
@ High Hopes…. Breit is on a different level from the other wrestlers mentioned. But impressive week, don’t want to take away from that. If he takes down Breit thats beyond impressive.
Harrison beat greely pretty bad. Their looking good, don’t count them out this year
Congrats to Sammy up there in Croton. Only 181 more to go.
yeah but with the number of duals teams wrestle these days and the quality assistant he has lol … that could happen pretty quick…
That assistant was some wrestler for Ossining!
Assistants should not be on blog blowing own horn.
I can joke about my horn though lol < lol = laugh out loud / not a serious comment
If I was going to blow my own horn I would have commented on last years league championship over Ossining! Although that cheap shot might make things even tougher than they are already going to be this year
