At long last, we’ll have official matches today when the Port Chester Tournament at Purchase College kick starts the 2012-13 season at 4:30 p.m. This is always one of the more competitive tourneys of the year, with a deep field featuring some of the top teams in Section 1.
Port Chester, Fox Lane, Monroe Woodbury, New Rochelle, Somers, Mamaroneck, Harrison, Scarsdale, Croton, Edgemont, Eastchester and Iona Prep will be squaring off in a dual meet format over the course of two days. Some of the preliminary duals will take place this afternoon, with the action resuming on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. I’ll be there to take it in tomorrow, with the finals scheduled for around 3 p.m. Stay on top of our coverage by following me on Twitter @vzmercogliano.

Ossining and Suffern are at McCauther tour tomorrow.
Scarsdale over Somers?
Croton over New Ro?
Possibly Harrison over Fox Lane ?
Edgemont lost to fox lane on a unsprtsmanlike conduct call… 2 years in a row. If it wasn’t for that they would have beat the foxes…
If it happened last year, you lost a match and still didn’t learn..that’s inexcusable
