Division 3 (Horace Greeley) seeds
All seeds are subject to change
UPDATE: New Rochelle senior A.J. Barbaria is out for sectionals due to medical reasons. I’ve confirmed this with Huguenots coach Jim Guccione. Everyone behind him bumps up one spot, and Greeley junior Bing Bing Xie slots into the fourth spot. Very unfortunate situation for A.J., who missed sectionals last season due to to concussion issues. Very polite, mild-mannered kid, too. Our thoughts go out to A.J. Keep your head up.

195-Pearse beat Wymbs how can he be ranked 3rd behind Wymbs at 1st? What criteria was used to rank him behind Imasuen?
Aj seeded 2nd???
If Pearses point total had put him direct behind Wymbs that he would have moved up based on head to head. Since Imasuen is seeded 2nd -head to head criteria does not apply
Imasuen has no head to head history with pearse hasn’t a better record and hasn’t wrestled the competition that pearse wrestled.
Beacon…Tony P on the section one website states there was an error and Pearse is the #1 seed based on the head to head win. Not sure which is accurate though.
Whats up with aj barbaria?? Hes seeded 2 here and not listed as seeded on sec1 website.
Vincent,
Is 195 at Horace Greeley correct?
I’ve confirmed it with New Ro coach Jim Guccione. AJ will miss sectionals for medical reasons. I can’t help but feel for the kid on this one after he had to miss sectionals last season, as well. He still has plenty to be proud of.
Beacon Shock,
That’s what was sent to me. The indication was that I would be informed if any changes are made. I wouldn’t be surprised if I receive an updated bracket or two later in day. I will update if I do.
are you just assuming the one kid didnt have as tough a schedule ? did you look at all the matches for both wrestlers to see who had caliber of competition points ?
I heard that the Beacon wrestler was moved to #1.
cya
imuseun didn’t wrestle spenelli, wymbs, day, lofaro. They both wrestled Edmond with imuseun losing 6-2 and pearse losing 5-4.
Add somers giancasparo to pearse list.
Only spinelli was all section the rest of the kids are the same as winning by forfeit. They are all quality kids, but none of them get you pts. Learn the rules before you play the game.
Old school,
Help me learn the rules. What all section wrestler did IMaseun wrestle?
Look it up yourself, you come on here complaining about a kids lack of competition but havent looked at the kids competition.
Here your answer, Stokes new rochelle was a section placer, im sure the beekmantown and red hook placed in their sectionals since there is only 4 teams in their sectionals.
Old school you have to calm down.
I just heard Pierce is ranked first, I quess I was correct.
