For the first time this season, I’ll be hosting a LoHud Wrestling CoverItLive chat on Wednesday night at 7:30. The plan is to do this a few times in the next few weeks, which is why I wanted to give everyone a heads up. The more active people we have involved in the chat, the more often we’ll get the chance to have them. So spread the word!
The chat should last for about an hour, and it will give all of you the chance to ask questions and submit comments in real time. You can ask me about anything wrestling related (thoughts on the Super 16, RCCs, divisionals, sectionals, weight class rankings, section title picture, team standings, injury updates, etc.), or just throw your own opinions out there to keep the discussion going.
On the night of the chat, you will be able to find the link on our homepage (www.lohud.com), or just by logging onto the blog shortly before the chat is set to begin (or during). I’ll have more details posted on Wednesday, but I wanted to let everyone know about this exciting new opportunity we have to interact and expand our coverage.
Now, I have some information on this weekend’s divisional tournaments (aka sectional qualifiers). I’ll map out our coverage plans later in the week, but I do have the full lists of teams for each of the four locations. The top four placers at each tourney in each weight class will qualify for the sectional tournament the following weekend. Wow some really good matches in divisions. Just a quick question. Does anybody know how Aaron Butler is doing? I know he has been injured for a while. Is he planning on wrestling?
REright,
I posted it on the blog yesterday and it was in today’s paper, but Butler made it through a tournament for the first time all season with no shoulder issues up at Albany this past weekend. He placed second, and is going to hold off on surgery to go for a second straight section title. I’m actually working on a story that will run later in the week detailing how Butler and several other notable wrestlers have battled through injuries this season.
Vince,
I must of missed that. Thanks for the great coverage. Keep it up.
OK. I give why is it always?
Rye®
Thanks
R with parenthesis shows up as reg trademark. If the abreviation was ry it wouldnt do that. Do we need to abreviate rye? Lol
Thanx for the info Vince
is it true realbuto is going 160
If Realbuto goes 160 he’ll get a rematch with Palacio at States
Get to these site on time cause with events starting at 1/4s and at least one or two suspect programs at each site these tourneys will move quickly!
Hopefully Brian will get his rematch with Dylan. If so, Brian will tech Dylan!!!....
Not sure who posted under my name. But to whoever said ‘is it true realbuto is going 160’, I highly doubt it. He has enough weigh ins at 152, so it doesn’t matter where he goes until sectionals.
superduck, Palacio is going 160?
RE divisional not sectionals… we will know in 4the days
True, divisionals. And even less than 4 days, when does the seeding come out? Tomorrow or Thursday?
Yeah Palacio is going 160 at counties
REright,
The seeding meeting is Thursday night. Section 1 coordinator Eric Romanino told me that he’ll get me the seeds by Friday morning.
if brian realbuto goes up to 160, does pasqualini goes up to 170? where does Butler go? where does sabella go? Who is the new favorite at 152? Could Mastro, White, or Caputo decide to move to 152?
Everyone stayed at their own weight classes, Realbuto at 152, Siegel at 160, Butler and Sabella at 170, Mastro and Caputo at 145 (everyone else I don’t know).
