Due to the anticipated inclement weather on Saturday, we have some postponements for a few of this weekend’s tournaments. So far, I’ve received confirmation that both the Kohl Invitational tournament at Suffern and the 30th annual Edgemont tournament have each been moved from Saturday to Sunday. Wrestling should begin around the same time it was originally scheduled for, but I do know that Suffern coach Chris Matteotti told me that they will likely eliminate some of the wrestle back rounds in an attempt to start the finals around 2 p.m. (certainly a relief for Giants fans). That’s where I plan on being. (NOTE: I covered the Croton Duals last season, so I figured I’d change things up this year for the sake of fairness. The field at the Kohl is probably the strongest of any local tournament this weekend.)
As for the 35th annual Croton-Harmon Dual Meet tournament and the Conklin Memorial tournament at Nanuet, I still haven’t received definitive word on any postponements. I’ll post an update once I speak with the host coaches. If you have any information, please feel free to post it in the comments section.
UPDATE: The Conklin Memorial has also been moved to Sunday. I heard that the Croton Duals have also been moved back a day, but I haven’t been able to confirm it with their coach.
We only received one result on this very light Friday night, but I thought you all might be interested to see it:

I’m all for safety and careful planning but am I missing something? 3-6inches and tournaments being cancelled the day before? At least it will weed out the wrestlers and parents who would rather watch football than sit in the Gym all day.
wow
pretty good showing by scarsdale against an awesome team!!!!
