Thank you for the update.
CONGRATS TO MASTRO, SABELLA AND MURRAY ON THEIR MID-HUDSON CHAMPIONSHIPS.
GREAT JOB COACH “T”!!!!
Thank you for the Mid-Hudson update Vince!
Butler is the clear favorite at 170 right now. These were Vince’s rankings at the start of the season:
1. Aaron Butler, New Rochelle
2. Jack Braun, Scarsdale
3. Brenden Nunziata, Arlington
4. Jason DiBenedetto, Somers
5. Steven Sabella, Yorktown
Is Braun still the biggest competition for Butler? Sabella has had a good season but hasn’t had any tough competition yet. Nunziata has had a great season at 182 so far. Not sure about DiBenedetto, but he is always a guy to watch. Braun has had a lot of matches this season, losing once to Butler. What are we thinking?
Sabella all the way he is better than the 3 guys a head of him on that list and murray is going to make a run also
170, If Pasqualini decides to go 170 I don’t know if hell be the clear favorite.
doubt pasqualini will go 170, sabella and nunziata are interchangable for 3rd and 4th at 170 braun has impressive wins this season and seems closest to butler, not to say he will beat butler though. murray at 182 for yorktown could beat stokes but i don’t see him beating berkowitz
Pasqualinni just went 160 at Massapequa. That’s his weight.
cya
BiggerThanU… neither Sabella nor Murray has seen good competition this year. I could see them both placing at sectionals, but nothing better than 4th or 5th for either of them.
ron burgundy… agreed. Braun has had some great matches against some tough guys and has done well. 7-1 loss to Butler though. We’ll see how they do in the second half.

who are these tough kids that braun has beaten so far???? only win i saw was over solis who is a d2 152lber who lost at 170. I think columbia kid he beat was good but thats only 2 quality wins and 1 quality loss. wont get too much competition the rest of the way with tournaments like yonkers, edgemont, and scarsdale. I was wrong last year with berkowitz thinking he didnt have enough competition. we will find out come feb, but looks like butler then everyone else.
nunziata has beaten murray from yorktown and aj alverez from carmel as his quality wins but lost to sabella at midhudsons. sabella has 3 or 4 quality wins including nunziata. After the shoreline this weekend the picture should clear up we might see nunziata vs butler since i dont think yorktown or scarsdale attend the shoreline.
To me the picture is clear sabella will make a run but in the end its going to be a nunziata vs. butler rematch butler is battling with two shoulder injuries meanwhile nunziata is having a beast season. Butler is going to have to step it up I have him beating nunziata in OT at sections.
