Just a few words on Ray Messinger from Putnam Valley. This is the second year Raymond was unable to wrestle at sectionals because of injury. In this his senior year Ray went 30-3. He had only 2 losses in his weight div. Both were to highly ranked Div. 1 wrestlers. In my “slightly” biased opinion he had a decent chance to finish highly at states. Despite his disappointment, Ray handled himself with dignity and grace at the sectional tournament and as his parents we are extremely proud of him. I would like to personally thank the sec.1 coaches, parents and wrestlers for all their kind words to Ray over the weekend. Your thoughtfulness will not be forgotten by our family. A special thanks to the Irvington coach and the staff at Irvington High School for their sponsorship of this tremendous event. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. Thanks Andy and Nora Messinger
