We only received one result tonight, which is laid out below. It seems to be a little bit of a slow start to the week, but we have some good stuff coming for you in the next few days.
Tomorrow I’ll be giving some Division 2 schools some love by covering the Irvington @ Edgemont dual meet. Both of these teams are considered to be strong contenders to win a D2 section title, and I’m excited to see where they stand. These two teams belong in the conversation with Croton-Harmon, Westlake and Pleasantville when discussing who can challenge Nanuet for a championship.
In the spirit of tomorrow’s meet, we’ve posted a new poll question: Who is the favorite to win a Division 2 section title?
Later on in the week (likely Wednesday night), we’ll be releasing our Power Rankings 2.0. And on Thursday, Jared and I will have some notebooks for both sides of the river.
I’ll be back tomorrow with an update on the Edgemont-Irvington match, as well as more results from around the section.
Here’s what we got today:

wow realbuto 8-7 over white. close match granted realbuto was up 2 weights from end of year but almost a huge upset. Ps. guys mabye for your next poll question you could ask how to spell wrestling. the first 2 poll questions have been no brainers. give us something to debate about. heres some help since you need it… if both go 135 who wins realbuto or srod?
Is that a misprint Realbuto dec white 8-7?
I don’t under stand how you rank westlake number 2 in power rankings but don’t list them as an opinion to win the section. Any way to oldskool we won’t see that match this year there staying away from each other because there bff’s
yes, i know that but its a poll question. Thats what makes this great its a forum. last yr it was asked how many d2 kids would win d1? it could never happen but led to a good debate. asking who is the favorite is a no brainer with fox lane being so loaded and all the good d2 teams from last year graduating so many sr’s besides nanuet. a better question would have been who’s the 2nd best d2 team. i dont think anyone can honestly argue over fox lane and nanuet as the favorites this yr.
Why would u guys think that was a misprint, with Realbuto Dale White match.Dale is a very good wrestler and has a shot at 140 145 to win section or been in finals.
dale is very good, but realbuto is a state champ and 3x all state vs dale who was all section two years ago and didnt place last year. just a little suprising but thats what makes this sport great. i didnt think it was a typo does anybody know how that match went, was it takedown for takedown or did realbuto get put on is his back?
You should put the scores of the tournaments in, not just the final finishes, it shows the relative power of each team.
