Monsignor Farrell senior Ben Villaret became the all-time winner in New York City history, and he did so at the expense of some local teams.
Farrell went 4-0 at the CHSAA Duals on Saturday, beating Fordham Prep, Salesian, Mount St. Michael, and host Iona Prep. And all four were ugly. Salesian’s score of 60-19 was actually the closest any of them came to knocking Farrell off.
Villaret won three times to bring his win total to 149. He passed Brian Traub of Petrides, who had 147.
