How did Thakur get seeded and Davidson didn’t. The reason Davidson got the 1st seed at sectionals was because he had so many more points than Thakur, that the head-to-head victory for Thakur was deemed irrelevant, so I don’t know how he could have more points
ehhhhh i think points came out worse than just old-school seedings would have (old school tournament seeding, i know states dont have seeds)

Although I may change my tune after I look at the actual brackets, based on the seeding, a few quick views:
-Realbuto has tough competition but should do well. Tough semi against top seed from Shen.
-A bunch of really good guys at 112, but Rodrigues may be helped by the 2nd seed, tough semifinal. This weight has 2 state champs and 2 finalists.
-Most people looking for a flamio v keith final
-125 impossible weight for Rose
-Ruggirello obviously tough in a semi for Grippi but he did beat an unbeatable Ligouri last year
-135, very difficult for Davidson or thakur to place high. Ligouri/Dutton (best quarter match)-winner v Lenzi in semi;;;real tough. If he winns again, give himMOW.
-Bad draw for Hauser
-Depending which Speno comes to Albany, we’ll see what he does in a tough semi against a state champ. I think Tompkins can surprise some people
Same thing at 160, if the best Brundage shows up, he can win it all. Bad draw on the top of the bracketshouldnt matter.-171, not too stacked, a couple of returning placers, who knows how clay will do
-Best wrestler in the state at 189
-Dont think Garcia will do well at 285, opposite side of bracket from returning state champ but real good #1 seed.
It looks like they seeded the top 8 to 10 and drew in the rest. Don’t be deceived, there are some very tough wrestlers on lines that aren’t seeds. Example, Loew at 189 from Wantaugh line 15, I worked with this kid last summer when he placed high at Fargo. The seeding just gives you a place to start, don’t be surprised if they don’t hold up.

It really matter wear u are seeded this state no chumps just champs. Ever match is loose able but it also is win able. To those wrestling this week just remember this its not were ur seed its wear u place. So if your seed don’t be happy with that it means nothing and for the guys who are unseeded that don’t mean spit. Throw someone and stick there ass!!!!!
