Thanks Tony. Much appreciated.
Well said, let tony post the 5/6 place matches. Your results are off in a bunch of spots.
Is Rodrigues from FL up at 112 for the competition? This is 2x this week seen him take lumps up there.
What happened to Tompkins from Beacon?
went 35 lost to trumm and lopez
Beacon 5&6
130 Barbo did not wrestle so RCK
171 RCK did not have any one there
285 Hudson did not place
285 It was a HHH kid not Washingtonville
The Edgemont field saw a very strong Horace Mann team (as usual) and a lot of great Edgemont/Westlake battles in a contest of two of the stronger Division 2 team. Not sure if people have watched David Rice (MOW from Edgemont – 145 lbs) in the past, but his improvement is nothing short of spactacular. He defeated a strong and determined Ed Mezger from Westlake by 14 points and is showing that he is one of the stronger wrestlers around. I know Division 1 caters to a larger audience, but the Division 2 wrestlers deserve a great amount of credit as well.
no steven is wrestling 103.. he lost twice in the tourney he hadn’t lost at all prior to the beacon tourney
like i said genovese would handle 215. the supposed superior wrestler calero didn’t even make the finals, and the kid who did beat him decandia, other than catching jake on his back off a takedown was beaten handily
I saw all those matches & the Genevese vs Tompkins match at Shoreline want to see the rematch this weekend.
Genovese deserves credit. Not an excuse for the loss but Calero wrestled injured. He will be ready for Sectionals.
its late january. everyone is hurt. as you saw genovese had his knee taped up.
whatever… we’ll talk in a couple of weeks.
