Laxman,
Give me a call when you have time. Not completely sure who you are though!
Tony,
I was interested in your oppinion on what team you think will bring home the sectional tournament title this year, I know many belive John Jay is a lock, but if you look at Fox Lane, they have a lot of superstars that will get them points in the rounds that really count and could perhaps have 4-5 sectional champions…could the foxes pull it off?
Old fan
Agreed, however there is no way of forcing coaches to “pair up” wrestlers based an ability.
The only way to somewhat avoid having coaches juggling line ups in order to avoid competition is to make the line ups blind. Each coach fills out his line up card before the match and hands it in to the scorers table. Still no guarantee of seeing the marquee matchups but better than the system in place.
Tony,
Time for another blog entry. 53 comments here. Get with it! How about your forecast for the Mid Hudson and the Pearl River tourney?
Thanks FL Parent – My thoughts exactly.
Who’s attending the Mid-Hudson? It’s in my backyard but I’ve got company this week. I’ll need results (the Poughkeepsie Journal gives nothing because of the Dutchess HS basketball tourney, but that’s another thread).
How about you get a life. He does have a family and it is the Christmas Holiday.
Good question, when is the Mid Hudson, who is going, where, what time? I guess we will all have to wait for Friday’s JN and then it will be TOO LATE to make plans to go!
If anyone knows the answers please post. Other folks other than Tony can give info on this blog(not just opinions). I do know if this was Kevin Devaney’s blog we would all have this information by now if not by last week.
Mid-Hudson tournament starts again on Friday at 10am with semi matches: Flamio-Osleeb, Oddo-Hernandez. Mahopac has 5 in the semi’s including an 8th grader, Srednicki. Other teams attended included: Rocky Point, Center Mooriches,Baldwin,Newburgh,JJEF,Arlington,Kingston,RCK,Highland, Beacon, can’t remember all. Think the finals are at 4pm. All I know for now.
The following wrestlers advanced to the semifinals of the Bethlehem Catholic Tournament in Pa. Planamento-103,Arcara-125,DiFazio-189 for Harrison. Slave-119,Zurla-135,Gonzalez-145,Garcia-285 for North Rockland and Weiner-171 for White Plains.
Any videos to watch these tournaments on line?
Man in the stands –
Too much time is wasted on this blog blasting behind an alias. Be constructive or go elsewhere. Without Tony we wouldn’t have ANY coverage.
Joe M,
How nice of you to waste everyones time and precious electric current to hide behind your own alias and instead of answering a question use the blog to bust my stones.
I asked appropriate questions, if you took offense TOO BAD!
Get the idea Joe M?
If you don’t like it don’t read it, or at least respond in an intelligent, coherent manner. You need to reread you post Joe M, or is your last name really M?
In closing, Tony P is very capable of defending himself, he does not need your help. What he does need is help from the SUITS at the JN so that someone can assist him with wrestling coverage so that more events get covered on a regular basis because even Tony P cannot be 2 or 3 places at once.
